Ontario is hosting the 2016 Tri-National Agricultural Accord from October 26-28 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
The Tri-National is an annual meeting of agricultural officials from Canada, Mexico and the United States. Agricultural leaders meet to discuss important trade and development-related priorities, supporting a higher level of understanding between neighbours and coordinated actions to address future risks and growth opportunities for the agricultural sector.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of this annual meeting and Ontario’s first time as host. As the Tri-National host for 2016, Ontario will serve as a stage for discussions on agricultural market access and trade collaboration to promote better cooperation between the three countries.

On behalf of the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne, and the government of Ontario, it is my great pleasure to welcome state and provincial agricultural leaders from Mexico, Canada and the United States to the 25th Tri-National Agricultural Accord in the beautiful city of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Hosted by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Accord meeting will continue to foster the spirit of collaboration and cooperation that has grown between our three nations as we discuss important trade issues and explore market and investment opportunities.
Ontario truly is a great place to do business and we will be showcasing the Niagara region’s horticulture and wine industries, as well as offering a first-hand look at the many benefits Ontario can offer to potential agriculture and food and beverage processing investors. I look forward to extending my welcome to you in person, and encourage you to explore the wonderful sights and experiences Ontario has to offer.
