Note: Area figures appearing in the table above are based on results from the 2006 Census of Agriculture. Yield and production figures are estimates derived primarily from a probability survey conducted by Statistics Canada, in conjunction with other administrative data sources. The probability survey is designed to produce accurate field crop yield and production information for the province as a whole. However, the reliability of county and district estimates may be lower, particularly when the level of farming activity is a given area is relatively small. Thus, a measure of caution is advised when using sub-provincial estimates.

Statistics Canada, 2006 Census of Agriculture; Statistics Canada, Field Crop Reporting Series (Catalogue No. 22-002-XIB); Agricorp; and Economic Development Policy Branch, OMAFRA.
