Note: Area figures appearing in the table above are based on results
from the 2006 Census of Agriculture. Yield and production figures
are estimates derived primarily from a probability survey conducted
by Statistics Canada, in conjunction with other administrative data
sources. The probability survey is designed to produce accurate field
crop yield and production information for the province as a whole.
However, the reliability of county and district estimates may be lower,
particularly when the level of farming activity is a given area is
relatively small. Thus, a measure of caution is advised when using
sub-provincial estimates.
