Food Safety and Traceability Service Standards

Our Mandate

The Food Safety and Traceability Programs Branch leads the promotion of food safety best practices and whole chain traceability to Ontario's producers and food processors. It also ensures compliance with Ontario's agriculture and food legislation by applying risk based progressive compliance tools. Through knowledge transfer, communications and cost-share funding programs, the Branch connects Ontario's producers and processors to food safety and traceability information to help them meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
