Ontario Ethanol Growth Fund

The Ontario Ethanol Growth Fund (OEGF) is fully subscribed and applications are no longer being accepted.

Ethanol plants assisted through construction and operating grants under the OEGF have increased Ontario's ethanol production by over 885 million litres (current production capacity is about 975 million litres), creating more than 300 full-time jobs, and resulting in private investments of over $270 million in the province.

OEGF has made an investment of up to $520 million to cover both capital and operating grants to develop and promote an ethanol industry in Ontario.

The OEGF helps meet the Ontario Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS).
