Rural Connections Broadband Program

The Rural Connections Broadband Program is helping to expand rural broadband availability in southern Ontario. The results are spread across rural Ontario.

Broadband accessibility is helping rural Ontario's economy expand. There are many examples and they are as varied as the innovative people making them happen.

Since its inception in 2007, Rural Connections has partnered with municipalities on 47 broadband infrastructure projects. Our first program in 2007 helped build 18 broadband networks. Since the fall of 2008, Rural Connections has announced a further 28 projects.

More projects are expected to be announced in the fall of 2010.
