First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment Program ($590,335 over 1 year)

Date Announced: July 15, 2005

The Confederation College Forestry Centre, Bowater Canadian Forest Products Inc., Weyerhauser Company Ltd., and Tembec Inc. has improved access to skills development and enhancement opportunities for First Nations youth.  Through summer employment and workshops, the partners have provided the necessary skills and training opportunities for First Nations youth to participate in Ontario’s labour force related to the forestry and natural resources industry.
