Date Announced: June 28, 2005

The Huron East/Seaforth Community Development Trust and the Huron Business Development Corporation are exploring ways to attract and retain healthcare professionals in rural Ontario.  Recruitment strategies include encouraging local youth to pursue health-related careers through employment and through MedQuest camp.  Each summer MedQuest gives 25 local high school students a hands-on look at a medical career.  A teaching center will also be created to provide learning opportunities for health care professionals seeking careers in a rural setting.
