Date Announced: June 16, 2005

The Corporation of the Town of Ingersoll, Ingersoll District Chamber of Commerce, Board of Management for the Business Improvement Area, Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts, Victorian Order of Nurses (Woodstock Branch) and the Oxford Child and Youth Centre developed a strategy to revitalize the downtown and enhance the future of the community.

The project included new branding, signage, street lights, sidewalk improvements, events and festivals, and landscaping design.  As part of the project, a surplus downtown school was rehabilitated into an accessible centre for community youth. The Thames Centre provides improved access to physical and mental health services, training programs for skills development and enhanced employment opportunities for up to 500 people each year.

Project Status: In progress
