Business Development for Local Economic Diversification and Growth – Marathon Business Retention and Expansion

The Town of Marathon, the Marathon & District Chamber of Commerce, Marathon Pulp Inc. and the Williams Operating Corp. worked with their Leadership Task Force to interview sixty-five businesses to figure out ways to improve the competitiveness of local businesses by evaluating their needs and concerns.  In addition to the survey data, the business retention and expansion project has cultivated and built relationships among community economic stakeholders and has improved economic development within the town.
