Ontario Invests in a New Vision for Downtown Grimsby
McGuinty Government Supports Grimsby Downtown Revitalization Project
Ontario is helping the Town of Grimsby and its partners make their vision
for downtown Grimsby a reality. The province is investing $155,000
to help create a safe, attractive and clean shopping area in the heart
of Grimsby for tourists and residents. The project also aims to retain
the small town character of the downtown and improve directional signage
and landscaping. Through the implementation of this plan, Grimsby will
become a place of choice for merchants, residents and shoppers in Niagara.
The funding is part of the Rural
Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects
in three priority areas:
- Improved access to health care services
- Revitalized communities and downtowns
- Enhanced skills training
