Ontario Invests in Leamington Arts Centre
McGuinty Government Supports Leamington's Revitalization
Ontario is helping the Municipality of Leamington revitalize its local
Arts Centre to promote tourism and create jobs.
The province is investing $218,000 to give the gallery a more professional
look for its displays and exhibits, make it more accessible and provide
for future expansion. The renovated centre will also help to revitalize
the area and create an enhanced destination for the uptown core of Leamington.
The funding is part of the Rural
Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects
in three priority areas:
- Improved access to health care services
- Revitalized communities and downtowns
- Enhanced skills training
