Rural Economic Development (RED) Program

Graph shows the number of approved RED project and the amounts of RED grants by priority. The majority of the funding is for community and downtown revitalization projects accounting for 76% of the approved projects . There are approximately the same number of approved project for the skills training and access to health care projects. Since 2003, the RED program has invested $53 million in projects worth over $511 million in new economic investments.
