Explore the history of Goderich in all its spring freshness. Your
one-hour guided bus tour will whisk you back in time as you visit one of the most
historic areas in this part of Ontario. View majestic homes once owned by prominent
citizens. See our newly developed waterfront and Blue Flag Beach. You may even
see a freighter loading salt from the worlds largest salt mine. Make a special
visit north of town for an up close view of the EPCOR Kingsbridge Wind Power Project
hosted by EPCOR staff. Circle the Square which is actually an octagon
our
unique downtown heritage shopping district. Once you visit Goderich, your heart
will never leave!
Curators Private Tour of the Huron County
Museum

Step back in time and behind
the scenes to gain an understanding and appreciation for the use of artifacts
in exhibitions. Hear the stories of several unique artifacts in the collection.
From large to small, hard to soft, each treasure shares one common characteristic.
During your tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the Archival Stacks.
This special storage facility holds Huron County records dating from the 1840s.
Experience a glimpse of Central Storage and see the home for a vast variety of
artifacts.
Limited to 15 participants
Closed-toe, flat footwear must
be worn.
Architectural/Heritage Tour of Courthouse Square
Sponsored by the Town of Goderich
Local architect John Rutledge will lead
you on a guided tour of this unique Heritage District in downtown Goderich. As
you explore these streetscapes, John will share his vast knowledge of this built
heritage. Enjoy a leisurely stroll and gain a new perspective and appreciation
for the story that these spaces and places tell. The walk ends at the Huron County
Museum for the return bus ride to the
Columbus Centre. Take this tour and
find out why an eightsided square isnt an oxymoron.

Guided Walk of the
Maitland Woods
Sponsored by the Town of Goderich
Enjoy an informative
walk through the serene trails of the Maitland Woods led by knowledgeable guides.
This natural beauty located on the south edge of Goderich adjacent to the Columbus
Centre, is rich in its variety of trees, plant life, birds, and includes creeks
and ponds. Come spend part of Earth Day up close with mother nature.
She is sure to surprise you!
Please wear appropriate footwear for hiking.

Our mandate is to develop and target cost-effective and results-oriented
tourism strategies within Huron County. Being a membership-based organization,
members have equal input into association business and can voice their ideas and
concerns at regular meetings.
Annual HTA Membership = $125.00.
Tourism

Brochure Swap
This part of the day is your chance to distribute
your brochures and network with other area businesses and tourism promoters.
The Brochure Swap is an opportunity to enhance your awareness of the many activities,
attractions and sights to visit which you can share with visitors to Ontario's
West Coast so they have an enjoyable visit and will want to return.
Included
with your first registration fee is a 30 inch by 48 inch table space to display
your brochures. All brochures are free and can be taken home in any quantity for
distribution and display purposes.
