Applications for the Building Broadband in Rural and Northern Ontario
program must include:
Completed application packages must be submitted to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs by 4:00 pm (EST) on October 23, 2009 to be eligible for consideration. Industry Canada, in collaboration with the province of Ontario, will determine approved projects based on identified program criteria. The Building Broadband in Rural and Northern Ontario program will provide additional funding, up to one-third of eligible costs, to those projects that demonstrate the ability to meet provincial priorities and objectives. The provincial criteria for Ontario's co-investment include:
Applicants are encouraged to include First Nation communities located
in the vicinity of the priority areas. Funding from other applicable federal
funding programs may be stacked to cover expenditures in aboriginal communities.
