• “Flexibility is key to getting local food in Ontario healthcare facilities”, say University of Guelph researchers following the completion of a local food research project funded by the Province of Ontario. • This Tobacco Yields Gold: 2012-13 Agri-Food Yearbook - This fourth edition of the OMAFRA-University of Guelph Partnership, Agri-Food yearbook is now available from the Partnership website. The Partnership is a significant contributor to innovation and competitiveness in Ontario’s agri-food industry, and the Yearbook profiles research and laboratory programs that reduce costs, improve quality & safety, and expands markets for Ontario products. Contact Robyn Meerveld (Research and Innovation Branch) if you would like a hard copy.
• The second Emergency Management Research Expo was held December 7, 2012 at 1 Stone Road welcoming an audience of government, academia and industry stakeholders. The day showcased Emergency Management research and knowledge translation and transfer projects funded under the OMAFRA-UofG Partnership as well presentations by government on impacts of research to policy. Presentations from the 2012 Emergency Management Research Expo are now available on the University of Guelph website.

• The 11th annual Food Safety Research Forum will be held on May 9, 2013 in Guelph. The venue and preliminary agenda are coming soon.
• Call for Posters - are you a researcher in Food Safety - Would you like to present your research at the 2013 Forum? The deadline for submission is March 27, 2013.
