In 2003 the Ontario Food Processing Research and Services Committee developed a strategic plan to cover research priorities for the period 2004 – 2008. This was done by piloting a new process whereby a small team from OMAF developed reports on:
ll of these reports were presented at the annual meeting of the OFPRSC as background material to stimulate and facilitate discussion. The result was a report from OFPRSC that contained 3 general recommendations for food research, 3 research priorities and 2 service priorities. The report containing the detail of these recommendations can be obtained from OMAFRA by emailing research@omafra.gov.on.ca.
