Facilities used for OMAFRA-funded Research

Introduction

Research stations and infrastructure are an important tool for conducting agri-food research. Fourteen research stations and 3 regional agricultural colleges located across the province provide the capacity for research on a wide variety of agri-food issues.

These research facilities are owned by the Agricultural Research Institute of Ontario and operated and managed by the University of Guelph with oversight from the ministry's Research and Innovation Branch. In addition to these facilities, researchers utilize resources owned by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, other universities, other governments and agencies, private industry and farmers to carry out research.
