Welcome to the Virtual Reading Room for the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The ministry is committed to supporting the government's commitment to the openness and transparency of government. This Virtual Reading Room has been developed to provide easy access to ministry materials available for public access. Section 35 of Ontario's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) requires that certain materials be made generally available for inspection and copying by the public. Available materials should include ministry manuals, instructions, program applications and the annual report of the Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC). We are providing access to this information on the ministry website via a virtual reading room, to better serve the public. Directory of Records - OMAFRA materials required to be made available pursuant to Sections 31, 32, 33 and 45 are included in the government Directory of Records. This includes policies and practices applicable to the retention and disposal of personal information. Manuals, Directives and Guidelines - Links to manuals, directives and guidelines that should be made available through this ministry Reading Room are provided below.
