A Personal Message from the Premier

On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am delighted to extend warm greetings to the leaders and stakeholders of our province's agriculture and food industry as we recognize - through the Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence - the invaluable contributions of Ontario's agricultural innovators.

Our government deeply values the vital role that the hard-working members of the agriculture and food industry play in ensuring the success of our rural communities, our provincial and national economies, and our quality of life. My colleagues and I remain committed to doing our utmost to keep our agri-food industry strong and viable and to making our province a leader in agri-food innovation.

As Premier, I am proud to recognize, through this special award, the farmers and producers whose vision, creativity and hard work have allowed our province to prosper and thrive in this competitive industry. You serve as a reminder to all Ontarians of the resilience of our farming communities and the dedication and expertise of our rural professionals.
