A Message from the Honourable Carol Mitchell

This year we received more than 200 applications for The Premier's Award for Agri- Food Innovation Excellence - and what high-quality applications they were! Both in quality and breadth, this year's submissions showed us that primary producers, agri-food businesses and agri-food related organizations are always seeking better, more innovative ways of doing business.

I believe that by recognizing our agri-food leaders, we are fostering a spirit of innovation that will grow this important industry in exciting new ways. Some innovations will leave a legacy for generations to come; others may even change the face of the agri-food sector.

I want to congratulate all 55 winners of the 2010 Premier's, Minister's and regional awards for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence. Thank you very much for everything you do for agriculture in Ontario. I wish you every success in the future.
