Farmers will have a new tool at their disposal with the Field Tracker Pro, a smart phone application designed by two farmers and a software program company. This user friendly tool is designed to be used on the go and helps farmers keep accurate records of cropping activities. They can track their day-to-day decisions on the type and rate of fertilizer, seed and spray applications required for each field. Farmers can also use it to include scouting reports, view calendar pop-ups, or share information about any moisture or bushel weight issues. It can be updated by multiple users in various locations and the info can be exported to an excel spreadsheet if needed. This gives producers access to historical information at their fingertips. Better records help the farmer make better decisions and realize a better bottom line. The innovators next step is to commercialize the application.
