Shep Ysselstein has a cheesy life, and he loves it! Shep's journey to becoming a skilled cheese maker began with experience working on the family dairy farm. After earning a university degree in business, Shep also studied cheese making in the U.S., British Columbia and Switzerland. It was during these ventures that he developed his passion and skill set for cheese making. In the fall of 2011, he opened a cheese factory adjacent to the family farm just outside? Customers can taste the Swiss influence in Gunn's Hill Artisan cheeses from techniques and recipes Shep learned while making cheese in the Swiss Alps. Shep has opened his factory for public tours and enthusiastic visitors can also take a one-day workshop that lets them be cheese makers for a day.
