Health-conscious consumers appreciate the nutritional benefits of wheatgrass and broccoli sprout juice and they know that fresh is best. Anna Small-Adams and Carl Adams of Garden Gate Farms are filling the bill with their organic, hydroponically grown products. Theirs is the first company in the world to grow, harvest, extract, package and sell the pure juice. Plants are harvested at their prime, juiced and immediately chilled to preserve their freshness and nutritional benefits. They use a unique high pressure, cold pasteurization process that extends shelf life and kills pathogens while preserving enzymes, vitamins, minerals, taste and colour. The duo have successfully pitched their innovative product on CBC's popular show, Dragon's Den and now these entrepreneurs hope to expand their market access from coast to coast.
