Leona Dombrowsky, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and MPP for Prince Edward-Hastings; Reuben Stone The connections are electronic, but the food is real, tasty and fresh in Renfrew County, where a web-based catalogue of local foods allows members to order online and pick-up their goods at a convenient location in their community. The Ottawa Valley Food Co-op’s efficient order, collection and redistribution system helps consumer members connect easily with local producers. As a result, there is more food being purchased from local producers which keeps the local economy humming. The Co-op's membership continues to grow, with 190 consumers, 29 of whom are also producers, offering more than 370 different products.
