New Life Mills - Grey County
(Left to right: Huron-Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell; Bill Revington) Three years ago, poultry farmer Bill Revington had a bright idea. He became an early adopter of an automated system that dims and turns off artificial light in response to different levels of natural light coming into the barn. This technology has been good for his poultry, since proper light is essential for their growth and reproductive performance. It's also been good for his farm, which has realized an energy savings of 60 per cent. Bill is sharing his data and experience with the rest of the industry.
