Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate Exam

About the Exam

This exam qualifies successful candidates for the Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate. The Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate is required by individuals who prepare nutrient management strategies and plans for farm operations that they do not own, manage or work at as an employee. The exam is open to individuals who have completed the course requirements for the Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate (Regulation and Protocols, Introduction to Nutrient Management and Developing a Nutrient Management Strategy and Plan Using NMAN). A fee of $150 will be charged for writing the exam.

Reference and resource materials will be provided at the exam. Copies of the Nutrient Management Act, 2002 Regulation and Protocols will be provided. Exam participants should bring calculators and pencils to the exam.

A passing grade on the exam is 75%. If an exam participant does not achieve a passing grade, they will not be granted a certificate until they have successfully passed the exam. Should an Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development Certificate candidate write the exam three times without achieving a passing grade, the candidate will have to re-take the courses required for the certificate.

Please note that there are additional requirements of the Agricultural Operation Strategy or Plan Development certificate including the preparation of nutrient management strategies and plans.
