Nutrient Application Technician Licence Course

Prerequisite: None


There are two options for taking this course. The two options, including fees are described below. Nutrient Application Technicians will also need to write and pass a proctored test to be licenced. An additional fee will apply.


Option 1 - Nutrient Application Technician Licence Course - OMAFRA Facilitated

The one-day classroom course is offered at sites across Ontario on a seasonal basis.


Option 2 - Nutrient Application Technician Licence Course - e-Learning Course (On-line or CD version)

This course can be completed at your home, workplace, etc. There are "Talk to your Employer" segments in this training course. You should complete these segments with someone who holds a valid Prescribed Materials Application Business Licence, had day-to-day managerial responsibility for field operations and has extensive knowledge of the company's standard business and operating practices. Each candidate for the Technician Licence must individually complete this course. The "Talk to your Employer" segments can be done as a group at your workplace.

Payment Policy

Course fees are due at the time of registration. Fees may be paid by credit card (online, mail or phone registration) or by cheque (mail registration). Credit card payments will be processed at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that the Nutrient Management Branch endeavours to make courses accessible to clients across the province. However, we maintain a minimum numbers policy that requires 20 registrants for classroom/lecture style courses and 14 registrants for computer-based courses. If those minimums are not met, we will cancel sessions.

Refund Policy

Course registrants may withdraw from courses without penalty up to 48 hours in advance of the course.
