Ontario Monthly Average Market Price (C$/ckg, 100 index)

The above graph compares the average monthly calculated Ontario market hog price for 2009 versus 2008 and the 5 year average for 2004 to 2008. As of the end of April 2009, the average Ontario price was $130.84 versus $100.40 as of the end of April 2008. The five year average (2004 to 2008) Ontario market hog price is $140.50/ckg, 100 index. The Canadian dollar value as of the end of April 2009 was 80.6 cents versus 99.4 cents as of the end of April 2008.
