- the hip muscles
- the thigh muscles. Avoid the furrow formed by the junction of the semimembranosis
muscle and the semitendenosis muscle.
- the pectoral muscle
- the injection triangle of the neck. Inject in the centre of this triangle.
The landmarks for identifying this triangle are
- in front of the shoulder (scapula)
- dorsal to (above) the cervical vertebrae and
- distal to (below) the ligamenta nuchae or
- a hand's width below the dorsal aspect of the neck.
