Figure 12 shows details for preparing the
mixing rod for the Stewiacke Warm-Box Milk Bar. A 33"x3/8" stainless
steel rod forms the shaft. One end is machined to match the diameter of the shaft
on the motor. On the opposite end, two paddles are welded at 25° angles on
opposite sides of the rod and about 7/8" from the end. The opposite end of
the rod is machined to match the diameter of the shaft on the motor. The paddles
are made with stainless steel flat bar - 1.5 inches wide x 6.5 inches long and
1/8" thick. A small notch in one end facilitates welding to the shaft. The
mixer rod attaches to the motor shaft with rubber hose and two hose clamps.
