Figure 10 shows details for constructing the
mixer-shaft bearing block for the Stewiacke Warm-Box Milk Bar. The block is 4"
long, 2" wide and 1" thick. The top side has a 25/54-inch diameter hole
drilled to a depth of 5/8" in the centre to accommodate the end of the 3/8"
diameter mixing shaft. The bottom has a notch to match the hump in the bottom
of the barrel. Two 1/8" holes are drilled about 0.5-inches from the end of
the block and on the bottom surface. These holes are prepared to receive two screws
that mount the block to the bottom of the barrel.
