Top Image: The diagram shows a proposed lot. The diagram also shows four adjacent existing lots with dwellings, in a row all along a road. The four existing lots, and the proposed lot do no meet the MDS I setback from the livestock facility. The four adjacent existing lots are located between the proposed new lot and an existing livestock facility. As per Implementation Guideline #12, MDS I is not applied to the proposed lot as there are four or more other existing non-farm uses which do not meet MDS, in immediate proximity to the livestock facility and the proposed lot. The proposed lot can be located no closer to the livestock facility than the four existing non-farm uses.
Bottom Image: There is a proposed new lot to the west of a livestock facility. The proposed lot does not meet the MDS I setbacks. The lot containing the livestock facility is located at the corner of an intersection, and there are four other existing lots with dwellings: two across the road to the east of the livestock facility, and two to the south/southwest. In this case, MDS I is applied to the proposed lot as Implementation Guideline #12 does not apply as these four existing non-farm uses are not in immediate proximity to the proposed new lot.
