An existing lot of record with a dwelling
and a lot with an existing livestock facility are located adjacent to each other.
The livestock facility has applied for a building permit to expand its existing
operation, but it can not meet the required MDS II setbacks to the nearest neighbour's
dwelling, located on the existing lot of record. In order to move the proposed
livestock facility further away from the neighbour's dwelling, and have it meet
the MDS II setback, a minor variance of the MDS II lot line setback requirement
could be considered. This would allow the proposed livestock barn expansion to
be shifted towards the far lot line, allowing the MDS II setback requirement to
the nearest neighbour's dwelling to be met.
