OMAFRA Agricultural Land Use Team - Planning

The Agricultural Land Use section of the Environment and Policy Programs Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) is responsible for providing advice on applicable agricultural and rural land use policies and providing technical advice on planning issues, to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, municipalities, other provincial ministries, and landowners. OMAFRA planning staff can provide technical expertise on agricultural land use policies, including the application of the Minimum Distance Separation (MDS) formulae

OMAFRA Agricultural Engineers

The Engineering and Technology Unit of the Environment Policy and Programs Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) is responsible for providing access to leading-edge technical expertise and technology applications. OMAFRA agricultural engineering staff can provide technical and practical engineering expertise on issues regarding: animal and crop care; environmental engineering; resources management; structural design engineering; decision support systems; technology applications and farm implements; and the application of the MDS formulae.
