Agricultural Information Atlas (formerly Rural Drainage Mapping Website)

The Rural Drainage Mapping Website has been developed by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and ministry partners, as an electronic source of rural drainage information available to the public on the internet.

The intent of this website is to give users and stakeholders, a province-wide view of the rural drainage information currently stored in Land Information Ontario (LIO). Map templates have been created under the Maps tab to create Tile Drainage Records and Farm Sketches. OMAFRA, as the information custodian/owner of rural drainage layers in LIO, welcomes contributions and feedback from the users and stakeholders towards improving the quality and quantity of rural drainage information.

If you would like to contribute rural drainage information please contact OMAFRA GIS.

There are many partners and stakeholders involved in the creation of this Rural Drainage Mapping website, along with the various data layers that can be viewed and queried.

  • Land Owners
  • Licensed Land Improvement Contractors
  • Drainage Consultants and Engineering Companies
  • Drainage Superintendents
  • Conservation Authorities
  • Lower and Upper Tier Municipal Governments
  • Provincial Government Ministries
