Search for your location

Option 1

  1. Under the "Find Information" tab, click on the "Find an Address" button.
  2. Type in your street number and name in the first bar.
  3. Type in the name of your lower or single tier municipality in the second bar.
  4. Click "Locate".

Option 2

  1. Under the "Find Information" tab, use the "Zoom to" drop down menu to select other search options such as lot and concession, or conservation authority. After selecting the feature, click on the "Go" button.

How to add information to your map

Once you have found your location, you can add information to the map.

  1. Under the "Map Layers" tab, click on the "Select Map Layers" button.
  2. Choose the layers you wish to include or exclude on your map by checking or unchecking the boxes. Make sure that all "Map Data" and "Background Map and Imagery" options are open for all available layers by clicking on the "+" sign.
  3. If you want more information about a particular layer:
    1. Check the box so that the layer is turned on.
    2. Under the "Find Information" tab, click on the "Identify Features" button.
    3. Pick the layer of interest from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click on a location on the map.
    5. Additional information will appear in the left hand "Results" box.

How to make a map

  1. You can use the Markup Tools found under the "Markup and Printing" tab to add text or to draw points and shapes directly on your map.
  2. Under the "Markup and Printing" tab, there are also options to print the map area on your screen, create a map from a template and save the map.

How do I create Geospatial Tile Drainage Records?

  1. Click the "Markup and Printing" tab.
  2. Click "Create Agricultural Map".
  3. Click "Tile Drainage Record".
  4. Fill in the Tile Drainage Record Information fields. All fields are required.
  5. Find the location you want to map. The area you have in your map view will appear on your Tile Drainage Records.
  6. Click the "Export Map" button. The report will take a few minutes to load.
  7. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, continue to step 8. If not, you must download the program first.
  8. After you see the message "Map created successfully", click the link of your map title to open the map or choose to save it first.

How do I find data required for a Nutrient Management Strategy or Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) Plan?

  1. Once you find your location, click the "Map Layers" tab.
  2. Click "Select Map Layers".
  3. Choose the layers you want to include or exclude on your map by checking the boxes and unchecking the boxes.
  4. For a Nutrient Management Strategy or a Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) Plan, it is helpful to check off the following layers:
    • Parcels (Farm Assessment and Assessment)
    • Live Data (Administrative, Environment/Base Data)
    • Background Map and Imagery
  5. You can use the Markup Tools found under the "Markup and Printing" tab to add text or to draw points and shapes directly on your map.
