Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards highlight grocery stores' creative and innovative efforts to promote good things that grow in Ontario.
The Foodland Ontario Award of Excellence goes to three stores:

  • Metro #479, 70 Front Street North, Orillia
  • Vos' Your Independent Grocer, 1893 Scugog Street, Port Perry
  • Winkel's Your Independent Grocer, 745 Centre Street, Espanola

Stores submit photos of their promotional displays to qualify for the awards. This year, judges reviewed over 2,000 photographs submitted by 964 entrants.
Recognizing excellence in the promotion of local produce is part of the McGuinty government's plan to support a strong agri-food industry and build the economy.
