Ontario is helping a Canadian business expand into St. Marys, support local farmers and create jobs.

With support from Ontario's Rural Economic Development Program, Vanderpol's Eggs - through its subsidiary, Perth County Ingredients - is establishing a state-of-the-art processing facility that will convert egg by-products into pet food ingredients. Occupying a former egg processing facility, this business will stimulate St. Marys' economy, create 20 new jobs and expand market opportunities for Ontario egg farmers.

A strong agri-food industry is part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs and opportunities that will grow the province's economy.
