Nestlé Growing in
Trenton - McGuinty Government Supports Ontario Food Processors,
Creates Jobs
Ontario is helping Nestlé Canada increase production at
its Trenton Plant to create jobs and strengthen food processing
in Eastern Ontario.
With support from Ontario's Rural
Economic Development Program, Nestlé Canada will add
30,000 square feet of manufacturing and storage space and install
new equipment at its Trenton facility. This will enable the company
to:
" create 28 new jobs and retain more than 300 positions
" add new production lines and product offerings
" increase production capacity by up to 20 per cent
A strong agri-food industry is part of the McGuinty government's
plan to create jobs and opportunities that will grow the province's
economy.
