Strengthening Nipigon's Economy - McGuinty Government Supporting Tourism In Northern Ontario

NEWS

August 16, 2011

Ontario is helping the Township of Nipigon and its business community increase tourism and strengthen the local economy.

With support from Ontario's Rural Economic Development Program, the Township will develop a strategy that uses new signage and an easy-to-identify brand to attract visitors from the nearby Trans Canada Highway. This will help the Township attract new businesses, as well as strengthen the existing business community.

Building strong local economies is part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs and opportunities that will grow the province's economy.
