Peterborough Plant Receives Funding For Production Of Made-in-Ontario Quaker Chewy Peanut-Free Granola Bars

Production of peanut-free chewy bar products will be enhanced at a production plant in Peterborough — keeping important jobs and economic benefits in the community.

Through the Rural Economic Development Program, Ontario is helping PepsiCo Foods Canada and the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation to:

  • ensure the long-term viability for the Peterborough location
  • provide opportunities to Ontario farmers to provide ingredients for this product
  • purchase new technology and equipment
  • create new jobs
