Learning Centre Set To ExpandMcGuinty Government Supports More Job Skills Training Spaces
Ontario is helping increase access to literacy and skills training programs in Atikokan by expanding the Atikokan Adult Learning Centre. The province is investing $68,290 to help create 60 new classroom spaces for residents looking to upgrade their skills. The funding will accommodate more desks and add new computer workstations to provide an enhanced learning environment. The project will also give the Centre a new fully-equipped kitchen facility, upgraded washrooms, lighting and ventilation, and a new office/storage facility. The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:
