World Class Training Coming To Niigon TechnologiesHelping To Build The Workforce Of Tomorrow
Ontario is helping the Moose Deer Point First Nation and their partners provide skills training for staff at Niigon Technologies. The province is investing $87,500 to help provide employees with the necessary skills to support business growth. The training will focus on industry specific areas such as machine operation, maintenance and quality control, as well as general training in safety, teamwork and computer skills. Launched in 2000, Niigon Technologies is a world class facility that manufactures computer, electronics, automotive and medical components for companies across North America. All dividends are re-invested in social, environmental, wellness and infrastructure projects for the Moose Deer Point First Nation. The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program, which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:
QUOTES“The McGuinty government understands the importance of skills training for First Nation communities.
