Brighton To Create A New Waterfront Vision
Ontario is helping the Municipality of Brighton and the Northumberland Business Development Assistance Corporation revitalize its waterfront. The province is investing $42,500 to create a master plan and conceptual
drawings for the municipality's waterfront. The plan will provide
the municipality with options to balance economic and tourism opportunities
with environmentally sustainable development of the waterfront area.
The Brighton waterfront revitalization project is a key component
of the municipality's newly adopted strategic plan. The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program, which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:
