Ontario is helping the Municipality of Trent Hills and its partners revitalize the Campbellford Waterfront.

The province is investing $147,000 to create an improved gateway and accessible public space along the waterfront in Campbellford. The project will provide the waterfront with streetlights, railings, furniture, decorative landscaping and new signage. The revitalization of the downtown waterfront will provide an attractive atmosphere for people, and encourage employers and investors to relocate to downtown Campbellford.

The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:
•Improved access to health care services
•Revitalized communities and downtowns
•Enhanced skills training.

•Since 2003, Ontario has invested $60.1 million in 183 projects through the Rural Economic Development Program.

•Trent Hills is home to Ferris Provincial Park, 200 hectares of wood and fields making hiking and walking popular activities for the residents.
