Warkworth Enhances Community Gateway

The Municipality of Trent Hills and the Trent Hills and
District Chamber of Commerce are improving access to the community centre
and other public spaces.
The province is investing $44,600 in phase two of the
Warkworth Revitalization project, which involves improving the two gateway
entrances to the village centre and creating accessible and attractive
public spaces within the village. Phase one included similar enhancements
on Main Street. This work is part of plan to increase local economic
activity..
The funding is part of the Rural
Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects
in three priority areas:

West MPP Lou Rinaldi.
"Improving the streetscape and entrance routes to a community can
have direct and positive impacts on a community's economy."

said Hector Macmillan, Mayor of The Municipality of Trent Hills. "Phase
two will continue to provide a strong foundation for economic development
within our community."
