News

Ontario is helping revitalize Madoc and improve access to rural health care by investing in the development of the Tri Area Medical Centre.

The province is investing $138,000 to help replace the existing medical centre with a more modern facility that will better meet the health care needs of the community. This new medical facility will also serve as the centre piece for the revitalization of the business core of Madoc and help entice new businesses to the area.

The funding is part of the Rural Economic Development Program which invests in community-based projects in three priority areas:

  • Improved access to health care services
  • Revitalized communities and downtowns
  • Enhanced skills training
