The Advantage Good Agricultural Practices manual is packed full of tools to help you implement the program on your farm. We've included a full list of these resources here - including all web sites mentioned in the manual, plus electronic copies of all templates.

We have also included a number of resources not in the manual that complement the Advantage program. This includes examples of best practices for food safety and a self-audit checklist.

  • What applies to my farm?: By completing this worksheet, you will know which Advantage practices apply to your farm, which written practices and records are required, and what training, if any, you will need.

  • Written practices: a template that will help you ensure your practices include all required information

  • Records: a series of templates to help you gather all required production information


4. Examples of Advantage Good Agricultural Practices


How will Advantage Good Agricultural Practices affect the way you operate? What is the extent of the requirements for each practice? The answers to these questions may vary greatly from farm to farm. Using different farm scenarios the examples provided describe common risks that may occur and how good agricultural practices can be used to address these risks. Read these examples to get a better sense of what's involved.
