MISSION
To lead, supervise and direct Ontario's regulated marketing system to effectively adapt to change.

 

Operating Principles
The Commission will provide leadership, direction and support to Ontario's regulated marketing sectors.
Commission activities will be characterized by integrity, transparency, accountability and respect that is earned.
The Commission will strive to make a meaningful positive impact through: proactive efforts to encourage cooperation; issue resolution; and, effective communication along the value chain.

Ensure effective performance of Marketing Boards

Training for Board members, General Managers and senior Board staff
Stakeholder satisfaction; training is relevant, appropriate
Assess "effective performance" of
all Boards
Annual review of a Board's performance is completed; Boards are sound, sustainable; good value for producers' money
Develop ongoing, enhanced communications with and among Boards and the rest of the value chain
Communications appropriate to needs Stakeholders satisfied with Commission
communications
Commission Regulations (Marketing and Plan) are relevant under current market Conditions
Regulations that impede competitiveness are reviewed; appropriate action taken
Commission solicits feedback from all Boards on Commission Performance
Boards see value in Commission's activities
Commission leads by example
Commission viewed by Boards as professional, well run; practices its own "best practices"
